National Championship:
Every year we hold a contest in Las Vegas during the week following Father's Day. The GPF club calls this "Vegas week," and it's a blast.

What can you win?

Currently, you can win your name on the GPF trophy (which grants certain benefits) and two tickets to five Seahawks games (games to be determined per season).
 

How do you enter this contest? There are a couple ways to enter:

1. Use your invites to register for WSOP games:
The easiest way is to earn invites (details on how, below). One invite will allow you to register for any WSOP game available during that week. Players must register the game with GPF staff 48 hours prior to the game starting. (More details below).

2. Host or join a Poker Tour:
A Poker Tour is designed to help newer players find and play games in Las Vegas. The host assumes the responsibility of guiding folks to the games during the day. A Poker Tour will consist of 2 or 3 games; they can be any poker tournament at any of the hotels in Las Vegas. The Host will communicate with the players set up a meetup location and assist with individual transportation needs. The players will be responsible for any buy-in, food, or transportation costs incurred.

The host will charge $10.00 per person joining the tour, and those games on the tour will be considered eligible for those players for the National Championship.

A sample Tour might look like:
10am Caesar’s, $100.00 buy-in.
6pm West Gate, $50.00 buy-in
10pm South Point $10pm $60.00 buy-in

Poker tours must be planned and posted the FRIDAY before Vegas Week. Players should contact the tour host 48 hours before the first game of the tour to join. Tour hosts will let a GPF Staff member know the players and results of the poker tour.
 

There are a few ways earn invites:

1. Quarterlies: Anyone making the final table at a Quarterly event will earn at least 1 invite:
8th – 3rd place earns you 1 invite

2nd place earns you 2 invites
1st place earns you 3 invites

2. The GPF Trophy: A player earns 1 invite per time their name appears on the championship trophy. For example, if your name is on the trophy twice, you have two invites.

3. Venue Championships: This is the most popular method players use to earn invites. The player at the end of each month who has earned the most points that month will earn 1 invite. Hosts are exempt from this contest.

 

4. Hosting: Full-time hosts earn 6 invites over the course of the year (June through May). Part-time (fill-in) hosts will earn 3 invites for the year and are eligible for the venue championships.
